For this week, all major fuel types have seen a decrease of five sen per litre compared to the previous week. The official prices for Peninsular Malaysia are as follows: RON97 is priced at RM4.25 per litre, while diesel is set at RM4.67 per litre. The unsubsidised ceiling price for RON95 is RM3.77 per litre, though most eligible Malaysians will continue to purchase it at a subsidised rate.

The government's BUDI MADANI targeted subsidy programme remains in effect to assist eligible citizens. Under the BUDI95 initiative, qualified individuals can purchase RON95 petrol at a fixed price of RM1.99 per litre. In a recent development, the monthly BUDI95 quota was restored from 200 litres to 300 litres, effective 1 September 2026, providing more subsidised fuel for daily commuters and travellers. For eligible private diesel vehicle owners, the BUDI Diesel programme allows them to pay RM2.10 per litre, significantly below the market rate.
